[REPORT BIGBANG 2023]

Hello MSCIA’ers!

On 25 November 2023, Pre-Activity Training x ToT Volunteer BIGBANG was successfully held. This event consisted of a series of activities that included training about “Vulnerability and Intersectionality” delivered by Bunga Adi Krisnanda, training about “Climate Change” delivered by Hisanifa Arifani, and a small working group session about vital sign examination.

The first main event of BIGBANG 2023 was successfully held on December 15th, 2023 ini UPT Rehabilitasi Sosial Bina Netra Malang. There were educational and simulation activities so that people with disabilities can save themselves during an earthquake with BPBD of Malang City and PMI of Malang City as well as free health checks with PERDAMI of Malang City and volunteers.

The second main event of BIGBANG 2023 was successfully held on December 24th, 2023 via Zoom Meeting. There were workshop on Psychological First Aid with HIMPSI Malang, public discussion on increasing the involvement of disabled people in disaster management with LINKSOS, BPBD of Malang City, and PERDAMSI of Malang City, as well as a charity concert.

We would like to thank participants, volunteers, and our external partners so that this activity can run smoothly. Hopefully, this activity can help to create an inclusive disaster management for people with disabilities in Indonesia.
