PEACE OUT 2025: Empowering Future Doctors Through Global Exposure

From March 5 to March 7, 2025, MSCIA UB successfully conducted PEACE OUT (Promoting Students’ Exchange Around the World), an exchange fair designed to introduce medical students to IFMSA’s international student exchange programs. This event aimed to bridge knowledge gaps regarding global health systems while encouraging students to explore medical training opportunities abroad.

Throughout the three-day event, a series of activities took place, including informative booths, classroom roadshows, interactive Q&A sessions, and digital promotions via Instagram (@msciaub). These initiatives provided students with firsthand insights into IFMSA’s SCOPE, SCORE, and SCOPH exchange programs, covering topics such as application processes, funding options, host families, and the benefits of participating in an international medical exchange.

The event garnered significant engagement, with over 100 students from FK UB and neighboring universities attending. Based on post-event assessments, the initiative was well-received, with a 4.8/5 satisfaction rating and 48 students expressing strong interest in the SCOPE exchange. The event also successfully raised awareness about GAP and PHEX exchange opportunities for non-medical doctor students at FK UB.

A key highlight of PEACE OUT 2025 was the enthusiasm students showed toward expanding their medical knowledge beyond Indonesia. The event not only equipped attendees with valuable information but also fostered confidence in exploring diverse healthcare systems. The roadshow sessions, in particular, allowed for direct engagement between medical students and former exchange participants, providing real-life testimonials about the impact of global exposure.

The event’s success was measured through pre- and post-event surveys, interactive booth engagements, and social media analytics. Moving forward, MSCIA UB aims to sustain this momentum by continuously providing exchange-related information via online platforms and follow-up engagement programs.

With PEACE OUT 2025, we have taken another step toward empowering future doctors with global perspectives. We hope to see even more aspiring medical students embark on their international journey next year! 🌍✨
